Warranty Overview

HYGINA provides a 1-year limited warranty for the HYGINA U5 Ultra Smart Toilet purchased for normal residential use.

The warranty applies to qualifying defects in materials or workmanship that arise during the applicable warranty period under normal installation, operation, and maintenance conditions. Coverage is subject to the terms, conditions, exclusions, and claim procedures described on this page.

When coverage begins

The warranty period begins on the product’s original delivery date.

02

What This Warranty Covers

During the warranty period, HYGINA may provide warranty support for qualifying defects in materials or workmanship affecting the normal operation of the U5 Ultra.

Depending on the confirmed issue, covered components may include applicable:

  • Electronic control components
  • Flushing control components
  • Built-in tank-related components
  • Bidet washing system components
  • Heating components
  • Warm-air drying components
  • Seat and lid electronic components
  • Sensors and control modules
  • Remote-control-related components supplied with the product
  • Other original functional components supplied as part of the U5 Ultra

Coverage applies only when the product has been installed, used, cleaned, and maintained in accordance with the product instructions and applicable plumbing and electrical requirements.

03

What Is Not Covered

This limited warranty does not cover damage or malfunction caused by conditions unrelated to a defect in materials or workmanship, including but not limited to:

  • Improper installation or installation that does not follow product instructions
  • Incorrect rough-in, plumbing, drain, flange, or water-supply conditions
  • Improper electrical installation, incorrect voltage, or electrical supply
  • Use without an appropriate grounded GFCI-protected outlet where required
  • Power surges, electrical faults, lightning, or external electrical damage
  • Water pressure or supply conditions outside product requirements
  • Frozen, contaminated, excessively hard, or otherwise unsuitable water conditions
  • Misuse, abuse, neglect, or accidental damage
  • Unauthorized modification, alteration, or repairs
  • Failure to perform reasonable cleaning or maintenance
  • Inappropriate cleaners, chemicals, abrasives, or tools
  • Normal cosmetic wear, scratches, stains, or discoloration after delivery
  • Impact, dropping, moving, remodeling, construction, or transportation after delivery
  • Fire, flood, freezing, natural disasters, or other external events
  • Normal wear of consumable or maintenance-related items
  • Use outside the intended residential application unless expressly approved by HYGINA
  • Altered, removed, or unreadable identifying information reasonably needed to verify the claim
  • Problems caused by third-party accessories, components, or services

This warranty does not cover a product simply because a feature, appearance, sound, or operating characteristic differs from personal preference when the product is operating within its intended specifications.

04

Installation & Labor

The HYGINA limited warranty covers qualifying product defects. Unless expressly approved in writing by HYGINA or required by applicable law, it does not cover:

  • Plumbing, electrical, installation, removal, or reinstallation labor
  • Contractor charges or remodeling work
  • Tile, flooring, or wall repair
  • Drain or flange modification
  • Electrical outlet installation or relocation
  • Water-supply modification or other site-preparation costs
Professional Installation and Warranty Coverage

Professional installation may be recommended when plumbing, electrical work, bathroom modifications, or local code requirements make professional service appropriate.

Using an independent qualified installer does not, by itself, void this limited warranty. However, damage caused by improper installation, incorrect modification, or installation conditions that do not meet product requirements is not covered.

If plumbing or electrical work is required, HYGINA recommends using appropriately qualified professionals and following applicable local codes. HYGINA’s installer or contractor programs do not change the product warranty unless HYGINA expressly states otherwise in writing.

Replacement Parts, Repair & Replacement

After reviewing and confirming an eligible warranty issue, HYGINA may, at its discretion and subject to applicable law:

  1. Provide troubleshooting or technical support.
  2. Provide an appropriate replacement part.
  3. Repair the affected component where repair service is available.
  4. Replace the affected component.
  5. Replace the product when HYGINA determines replacement is appropriate.
  6. Provide another remedy required by applicable law.

The appropriate remedy depends on the nature of the issue, product condition, parts availability, serviceability, and other relevant circumstances. A replacement product or component may be new or functionally equivalent where permitted by applicable law.

06

Shipping for Warranty Service

Contact HYGINA Support before shipping any product or component. Do not send an item without authorization and the shipping instructions provided for the approved claim.

HYGINA will explain the applicable shipping arrangement after reviewing the issue. Responsibility for packaging, transportation, or related costs may depend on the confirmed defect, requested remedy, product location, and applicable law.

Warranty FAQ

When does the 1-year warranty begin?

The warranty period begins on the original delivery date of the HYGINA U5 Ultra.

Does using my own plumber or installer void the warranty?

No. Using an independent qualified installer does not, by itself, void this limited warranty. Damage caused by improper installation or conditions that do not meet product requirements is not covered.

Does the warranty pay for installation or removal labor?

Unless expressly approved in writing by HYGINA or required by law, the warranty does not cover plumbing, electrical, installation, removal, reinstallation, contractor, remodeling, or site-preparation costs.

Should I remove or repair the product before contacting support?

No. Contact HYGINA Support before removing, returning, repairing, replacing, or shipping the product or any component.

What remedy will HYGINA provide?

The appropriate remedy depends on the confirmed issue and may include troubleshooting, a replacement part, repair where available, component replacement, product replacement, or another remedy required by law.

Is a damaged delivery handled as a warranty claim?

It may follow a separate shipping-damage or replacement process. Keep the packaging, document the condition, do not install a visibly damaged product, and contact HYGINA Support promptly.
